Studs and spikes used to be a mainstay of 80s punk, but these days so many niche trends have crossed over to the mainstream with designers like Balmain, Isabel Marant, Givenchy, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, Alexander Wang and Chloe featuring plenty of hardware in their collections.
